About Microsoft Power BI
Microsoft Power BI is a business intelligence service for connecting to data, building semantic models and presenting interactive reports and dashboards. Healthcare teams can use it to explore activity, capacity, quality, finance and workforce measures, with filters and drill-through revealing variation behind headline indicators. Scheduled refresh, sharing workspaces and mobile access help distribute current views, while row-level security can restrict what different users see. Power BI also forms part of Microsoft Fabric and can report over many cloud and on-premises sources. It is not itself a clinical record or validated source of truth; metric definitions, data transformations, refresh timing, permissions and assurance processes determine whether a dashboard is accurate and appropriate.
