    East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is an integrated acute and community healthcare provider for East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen. Around 10,000 staff deliver care across Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital, Burnley General Teaching Hospital, community hospitals in Pendle and Clitheroe, Accrington Victoria Hospital and local community settings.

    The trust treats needs ranging from major emergencies and planned operations to rehabilitation and care in patients' homes. It provides specialist hepatobiliary, head and neck, and urological cancer services, as well as advanced cardiology and level-three neonatal intensive care. Royal Blackburn is the principal emergency hospital, while Burnley hosts major planned-care facilities. Adult community services connect hospital treatment with nursing, therapy and longer-term support closer to home.
