Bespoke PEP+

PEP+ is a regional Patient Engagement Portal created by the digital team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay and deployed across Lancashire and South Cumbria, including Blackpool Teaching Hospitals and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. Patients can view appointments and digital letters, request cancellation or rescheduling, update selected personal details and complete healthcare questionnaires that feed into their record. Secure text messages notify users of new bookings, changes, letters and reminders, while NHS login supports web access without installing an application. PEP+ also supports waiting-list validation by asking whether patients still need planned care. The portal is developed with clinicians and is being expanded in phases, so available functions and specialties vary between participating trusts.
