About Cisco Envoy

Envoy is a patient engagement and communications platform originally developed by Healthcare Communications and subsequently associated with Webex and Cisco. NHS organisations use it to turn appointment data into secure digital letters and send patients links by SMS, with voice or printed alternatives available where needed. Through the patient portal, people can view appointment details and supporting information on a phone, tablet or computer and, where configured, confirm, cancel or request a change. Envoy also supports reminders, two-way messaging and collection of patient feedback. It is primarily a communications and appointment-access service rather than a complete personal health record; the exact portal features and messages available depend on each trust's local integration and pathway design.
