About Epic MyChart
Epic MyChart is the patient portal connected to an organisation's Epic electronic record. Through a web browser or mobile app, patients can view selected results, visit information, letters, medications and parts of their clinical record; manage appointments; complete questionnaires and digital check-in; exchange secure messages; and join video consultations where enabled. Proxy access can help parents, carers or family members manage care with appropriate permission. MyChart Care Companion can deliver pathway tasks, reminders and home-monitoring plans, while Share Everywhere allows a patient to give another clinician temporary access to selected information. Every NHS trust controls which records and services are released, when results appear and how identity, proxy relationships and non-digital alternatives are managed.
