About Hyland OnBase
Hyland OnBase is an enterprise content management platform that captures documents, associates them with structured data and makes them available through controlled search or integration with other applications. In healthcare it can store scanned and electronic patient documents, use patient data to index them, and expose records from an EPR or clinical workspace. Configurable workflows route documents, forms and exceptions for action, while permissions, version control, retention rules and audit trails support governance. OnBase can also manage non-clinical content and case-based processes across an organisation. Each NHS deployment selects its own capture channels, document types, clinical integrations and workflows, so local functionality can differ considerably between trusts.
