Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK's largest acute trusts, employing more than 28,000 people and providing local hospital care across Manchester and Trafford. Its ten hospitals include Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital, North Manchester General Hospital, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Saint Mary's Hospital and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
The Trust offers comprehensive emergency, medical and surgical care alongside major regional and national specialties. These include paediatrics, maternity and women's health, ophthalmology, cardiac and respiratory medicine, vascular care, cancer, transplantation, dental services and genomic medicine. Through Manchester and Trafford Local Care Organisations, community nursing, therapies and intermediate care are integrated with council services. University partnerships also support a substantial programme of research, innovation and healthcare education.
