Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust brings together Birmingham Children's Hospital and Birmingham Women's Hospital. Formed in 2017 as the first trust of its kind in the UK, it provides specialist care for women, children and families and records more than 641,000 patient visits each year.
Birmingham Children's Hospital delivers complex paediatric medicine and surgery, while Birmingham Women's Hospital provides maternity, gynaecology, fertility, neonatal and fetal medicine services. The women's hospital is one of only two dedicated women's hospitals in the UK and is home to a major regional genetics laboratory. Across both hospitals, the trust combines family-centred clinical care with teaching, research and innovation.
