About DrDoctor
DrDoctor is a patient engagement platform used by NHS organisations to provide digital letters, appointment information, reminders, forms, health checks and video consultations. Patients can open the web-based portal from a secure text or email link, or through NHS App integration where enabled, without necessarily downloading another app. They can view correspondence, see appointment locations, complete pre-visit information and request cancellation or rescheduling. Automated notifications reflect bookings and changes received from connected PAS and EPR systems, while paper fallback can protect access for people who do not open digital letters. Available functions vary by trust and clinic. DrDoctor is principally a communications, scheduling and engagement layer, not a complete replacement for the hospital's clinical record.
