North London NHS Foundation Trust provides mental healthcare across Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington. It was created in November 2024 from the merger of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, then expanded in April 2026 by merging with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
Most care is delivered through local community teams, supported by inpatient wards at sites including St Ann's, Chase Farm, Highgate and Edgware Community hospitals. Services span crisis care, adult and older people's mental health, children and young people, eating disorders, addictions, prisons and forensic care. Tavistock expertise strengthens specialist psychotherapy, family services, professional education and research within the enlarged trust.
