About Access Rio
Access Rio is an electronic patient record platform used primarily across NHS mental health, community health and child health services. It combines clinical and administrative information in a central patient record, covering areas such as demographics, referrals, appointments, assessments, progress notes, care planning, inpatient activity and statutory reporting. Clinicians can view and update information through browser-based and mobile workflows, while integration tools connect Rio with other health and care systems. The platform is designed to replace paper-based records, improve data accuracy and give authorised professionals more timely information at the point of care. Individual organisations configure Rio and select modules to match their services, governance and operational processes.
