Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is the principal provider of secondary mental healthcare across Kent and Medway. It adopted its current name in October 2025, replacing Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust to describe its core purpose more clearly. Teams support adults and older people from community bases and inpatient sites throughout the area.
Its services include community mental health teams, crisis assessment and home treatment, inpatient care, rehabilitation, early intervention in psychosis, talking therapies and memory assessment. Specialist provision includes perinatal, eating disorder and forensic mental healthcare, alongside support for people with complex needs. The Trust works with primary care, councils, voluntary organisations and people with lived experience to improve access and recovery.
