About NextGen Mirth Connect
NextGen Mirth Connect is a healthcare integration engine for exchanging information between systems that use different formats and protocols. Administrators build channels with source and destination connectors, filters, transformers and routing rules. These can receive, validate, convert and distribute messages using standards and formats such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, X12, XML, databases, files and web services. Monitoring and message history help support teams investigate failures and replay data where appropriate. Mirth Connect is highly flexible, but interfaces still require careful design, testing, security and operational ownership. Licensing changed for newer releases, so organisations should confirm the version, support model and permitted upgrade path for their installation.
