InterSystems Ensemble

InterSystems Ensemble is an established integration and application-development platform used to connect healthcare systems through managed message flows. It can receive information from one application, apply validation, transformation and business rules, then route the result to one or many destinations. Support for healthcare messaging and common protocols has made it suitable for linking PAS, EPR, laboratory, imaging and departmental systems. Administrators can monitor queues, errors and interface activity from a central environment rather than maintaining many opaque point-to-point connections. Ensemble technology has since evolved into newer InterSystems interoperability products, including Health Connect and IRIS for Health. Features available locally depend on the installed version and interfaces maintained.
