The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's only specialist hospital trust dedicated to comprehensive neurology, neurosurgery, spinal and pain-management care. Its main hospital is in Fazakerley, Liverpool, but specialist clinics operate at 19 hospitals and health centres, bringing neurological assessment closer to patients throughout a catchment of around 3.5 million people.

Approximately 1,550 staff diagnose and treat conditions affecting the brain, spine, peripheral nerves and muscles, while supporting people with long-term neurological illness. The trust works within regional major-trauma and rehabilitation networks and receives national and international referrals for complex care. Close relationships with the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University underpin specialist education, clinical research and innovations in neuroscience, rehabilitation and patient outcomes.
