Bespoke EP2

EP2 is the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust's in-house electronic patient record for specialist neurology and neurosurgery care. It contains clinical forms, notes, inpatient admissions, outpatient appointments and a timeline that brings together events across a patient's care. The system also makes scanned case notes, primary-care information, blood results and Carestream imaging available digitally. Current development work includes improved timeline presentation, stronger search, links into other clinical systems and enhanced digital sepsis tools to support recognition and treatment of deteriorating patients. Walton continues to digitise remaining paper case notes so records can be viewed through EP2, while planned patient-facing and self-care applications are designed to feed information back into the record.
