    East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust runs five hospitals and community clinics serving around 700,000 people. Its main acute sites are William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate and Kent and Canterbury Hospital, supported by hospitals in Dover and Folkestone.

    The trust provides emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, children's, diagnostic and planned care across its network. Specialist services include renal care for patients in Medway and Maidstone and a Kent-wide cardiac service based at William Harvey Hospital. As a university teaching trust, it trains doctors, nurses and other professionals with local universities and King's College London. Its hospitals also participate extensively in clinical research, supported by an East Kent Clinical Trials Unit in Margate.
