Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust provides general acute hospital care across west Kent and specialist services for patients from Kent, Medway and East Sussex. Its main sites are Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, supported by Fordcombe Hospital, the West Kent Community Diagnostic Centre and outpatient locations.
Both main hospitals deliver emergency and planned treatment, medicine, surgery, diagnostics and outpatient care. Tunbridge Wells is the principal site for consultant-led maternity and inpatient children's services, while Maidstone is home to the Kent Oncology Centre, a regional hub for cancer treatment. The Trust also provides specialist ophthalmology, stroke and sexual health services, combining local district hospital care with complex treatment used by a population of around two million.
