Civica Cito, now described by Civica as Civica Document Management, is a browser-based electronic document and records management system for healthcare. It captures, indexes, stores and retrieves scanned paper and born-digital content, presenting authorised clinicians with a consolidated view of material that would otherwise sit in physical notes or separate repositories. Configurable forms and workflows can create new information electronically and route tasks through local processes, while integrations allow documents to appear alongside data from other clinical systems. Access controls and audit history protect sensitive records and show how information has been handled. Trusts can deploy Cito locally or through a managed cloud, with document categories, retention arrangements and clinical workflows configured to their requirements.
