Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust provides emergency, planned, outpatient, maternity, paediatric and diagnostic care from Salisbury District Hospital for around 270,000 people across Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire. Its 5,500-strong workforce continues a local hospital tradition extending back more than 250 years, including important contributions to burns, plastic surgery and rehabilitation.
Several specialist services serve much larger regions. Burns, plastics, cleft lip and palate and Wessex rehabilitation care reach more than three million people, while the 45-bed Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre serves a population of around 11 million across southern England. The trust has close links with the Armed Forces and is part of the BSW Hospitals Group alongside Royal United Hospitals Bath and Great Western Hospitals.
