Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust provides acute hospital care and community health services across Harrogate, North Yorkshire and parts of Leeds. Harrogate District Hospital is its main acute site, offering emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, children's and diagnostic care, while community teams support patients in clinics, schools and their own homes.
The Trust has an unusually wide role in children's public health. It delivers health visiting and school nursing services across much of North East England, including County Durham, Darlington, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Gateshead and Sunderland, making it one of England's largest providers in this field. Local community services also include nursing, therapies and specialist support intended to prevent avoidable hospital admission and promote independence.
