Okta

Okta is a cloud identity and access management platform for workforce and customer identities. Its Universal Directory holds user profiles and can connect with sources such as Active Directory and LDAP. Single sign-on provides access to integrated applications, while multifactor and adaptive authentication apply additional checks based on policy and risk. Lifecycle management and SCIM provisioning can create, update and remove application accounts as a person's role changes. Governance options add access requests, approvals, entitlement management and reviews. In healthcare, Okta can provide a shared authentication layer but does not replace clinical role design inside each application. Licensed features, integrations, policies and recovery arrangements determine the deployed capability.
