Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is a specialist provider of mental health, learning disability and autism services across Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. Around 5,000 staff support a population of approximately 1.9 million people.
Most care is delivered in the community for people with severe mental illness, including psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, complex emotional distress and trauma. The trust also provides acute and rehabilitation inpatient care, psychiatric intensive care, talking therapies and children's mental health services in parts of its area. Its aim is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in partnership with patients, carers and local organisations.
