South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust provides the UK's widest range of NHS mental-health services. It supports a local population of 1.3 million across Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Croydon, delivering inpatient and community care through more than 240 local services, alongside over 50 specialist services for children and adults from across the UK and overseas.
Each year the trust provides inpatient care to more than 5,000 people and treats over 40,000 in the community. Its expertise spans a broad spectrum of mental-health and substance-misuse needs. As part of King's Health Partners, it works closely with King's College London's Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, linking clinical services with internationally significant research, education and new treatments.
