Microsoft Fabric

Microsoft Fabric is a software-as-a-service analytics platform that brings data integration, engineering, warehousing, data science, real-time intelligence and business reporting into one environment. Healthcare data solutions can organise information using models such as FHIR, DICOM and OMOP, enabling analysis across clinical, imaging, operational and research sources. Fabric combines services including Data Factory, Synapse workloads and Power BI over shared OneLake storage, reducing movement between separate analytics tools. Security and governance features can control access and lineage, with de-identification used where appropriate. It is a general data platform rather than a ready-made clinical application, so trustworthy outputs depend on source quality, modelling, permissions and information-governance design.
