The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is a combined acute and community provider serving around 270,000 people. Rotherham Hospital is its principal acute site, supported by Rotherham Community Health Centre, the specialist respiratory facility BreathingSpace, Park Rehabilitation Centre, Kimberworth Place and services delivered across the borough.
Around 4,750 staff provide emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, diagnostic, rehabilitation and community care, with some dental services extending into Barnsley and Doncaster. The trust works closely with local authorities, primary care and other South Yorkshire hospitals to coordinate treatment and reduce health inequalities. Its teaching links with Sheffield's universities support clinical education, while a dedicated research and development team helps patients access studies and evidence-based improvements.
