Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust delivers community-based health and care services, with more than 1,800 staff and around 90% of its workforce in patient-facing roles. Across Wirral it operates from over 50 locations, including St Catherine’s Health Centre and Victoria Central Health Centre, as well as visiting people in their homes.
Its services range from community nursing, therapies and urgent response to children’s and family care across Wirral, Cheshire East, St Helens and Knowsley. The Community Integrated Care Centre provides 71 beds across three wards for rehabilitation and recovery. The trust also works closely with Wirral University Teaching Hospital under a shared 2026–32 strategy to improve pathways between hospital and community care.
