About TORTUS

TORTUS is an ambient voice platform that captures and separates speakers in a clinical conversation, then generates draft notes, letters, referrals and suggested clinical codes. Its workflow can write approved content back into supported electronic health record systems, but the clinician remains responsible for reviewing, editing and authorising everything before filing. TORTUS also describes a safety layer called the Shell, which checks generated statements against the source conversation and removes unsupported content. No automated safeguard removes the need for professional verification. Deployment therefore requires clear patient information and consent, secure audio handling, appropriate templates, tested record integration, clinical-safety governance and monitoring for omissions, misattribution or inaccurate generated text.
