MEDITECH Expanse

MEDITECH Expanse Emergency Department is an emergency-care application integrated with the wider Expanse health record. A central tracker presents arrivals, location, triage information, chief complaint, status and alerts, helping teams follow patients through assessment, investigation, treatment and disposition. Clinicians can enter notes and orders, review results and medication history, and prepare discharge information without leaving the emergency workflow. Shared data makes previous encounters and current inpatient information available in context, while operational analytics can highlight demand and throughput. The application is configurable for local processes, so triage tools, order sets, tracking columns, national reporting, interfaces and decision support vary according to the deployed version and implementation.
