About Optum EMIS
Optum EMIS generally refers to EMIS Web, a clinical record used across primary, community, hospice and specialist care. It supports consultations, coded diagnoses, medication and allergy records, test information, appointments, templates, protocols and clinical decision support within a longitudinal patient record. Sharing and interoperability services can make relevant information available across participating care settings, while mobile options allow community clinicians to view and update records away from a fixed workstation. The database label does not identify the installed EMIS generation or modules, so scope should be confirmed locally. EMIS Web is not normally a full acute inpatient EPR, and specialty workflows, integrations and data-sharing controls depend on deployment.
