Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust provides acute hospital and community healthcare for around 250,000 people across Tameside in Greater Manchester and Glossop in Derbyshire. Tameside Hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne delivers emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, neonatal, paediatric and diagnostic services for a population spanning urban neighbourhoods and rural communities.
The trust also provides care through community premises, an intermediate-care facility, neighbourhood teams and patients' homes. Its integrated model brings hospital, community, primary-care, social-care and voluntary partners together to intervene earlier and coordinate support closer to home. More than 4,000 staff work across the organisation, which shares executive leadership with Stockport NHS Foundation Trust to strengthen collaboration while remaining a separate foundation trust.
