About Optum Symphony
Optum Symphony is a clinical and operational system for emergency departments and other urgent-care settings. It manages patient registration, triage, tracking and clinical documentation through the episode, giving teams a live view of status, location and outstanding work. Workflow supports assessment, investigations, treatment, referral and discharge, with integrations able to provide primary-care information and child-protection alerts in context. Electronic appointment booking can also accept suitable referrals from NHS 111 into configured urgent-care services. Symphony is focused on emergency flow rather than the full longitudinal hospital record. Triage content, tracking screens, orders, results, national datasets, decision support and downstream communications vary by version and local configuration.
