Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust was established in November 2024 when Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust joined together. It combines acute hospital care with community services, principally serving Kingston, Richmond and neighbouring areas of south-west London and Surrey.
Kingston Hospital has more than 400 beds, a 24-hour emergency department and intensive care, with broad medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, children's and cancer services. Teddington Memorial Hospital provides short-stay rehabilitation, urgent treatment, therapies, outpatients and diagnostics. Community teams in Richmond work in clinics, schools and people's homes, while specialist outpatient services reach Elmbridge, Merton, Wandsworth and Sutton. The integrated structure is intended to make movement between home, community and hospital care more coordinated.
