About OneAdvanced Isosec
OneAdvanced's Isosec technology underpins its Virtual Smartcard service for access to NHS clinical applications without relying on a physical smartcard at every workstation. A software-based certificate represents the user's care identity, while the Isosec Authenticator mobile application supplies a second authentication factor for relevant workflows such as the Electronic Prescription Service. Virtual Smartcards can support remote, mobile and shared-device working and are managed through their certificate lifecycle. The service enables national authentication but does not determine each application's clinical permissions. Identity verification, role assignment, device enrolment, certificate renewal, lost-device handling and fallback access still require Registration Authority processes and local security governance.
