About K2 Athena
K2 Athena is a maternity information system covering the pregnancy journey from self-referral and antenatal care through triage, labour, birth and postnatal follow-up. Designed with clinicians, it captures information once for reuse across multidisciplinary care, supports risk assessments and individualised pathways, and includes national maternity reporting. Integration can connect patient administration, demographics, pathology, radiology, neonatology and document systems. Athena also links with K2 INFANT-Guardian for intrapartum documentation and offers a patient-facing personal health record for collaborative care and remote monitoring. The system is modular, so forms, guidelines, interfaces and patient services can be tailored to the maternity provider's local model and governance requirements.
