About K2 Guardian
K2 INFANT-Guardian is an intrapartum clinical information and fetal surveillance system for labour wards. It captures cardiotocography digitally alongside contemporaneous clinical notes, creating a paperless record and a central situation board for team oversight. Computer interpretation of fetal heart-rate information is intended to support clinicians, while care bundles and guidelines promote consistent practice and multidisciplinary communication. Senior staff can view collated activity across the unit to improve situational awareness. K2 explicitly states that the system does not automate fetal monitoring or replace clinical judgement; clinicians remain responsible for interpreting the full clinical picture. Connected monitors, alerts, documentation and integration with wider maternity records depend on configuration.
