TrakCare Patient Administration System provides the administrative foundation for the wider InterSystems health information platform. It manages patient identity, registration, referrals, admissions, discharges, transfers, appointments, resource scheduling, waiting lists and medical-record activity. A shared master patient index and encounter structure allow administrative changes to flow into clinical and departmental workflows without maintaining a separate patient context. The PAS can be paired with TrakCare's clinical record or connected to other systems through standards-based interoperability. Regional editions are adapted to national requirements, but organisations still configure local clinics, resources, pathway rules and reporting. Available revenue-cycle and billing functions also vary according to jurisdiction and licensed modules.
