About Optum EMIS
Optum EMIS Web can support virtual wards by maintaining the shared clinical record, patient list, bed or capacity view and multidisciplinary workflow for people receiving care at home. Its Bed Management and Inpatient Workflow functions can track admission, step-up, step-down and discharge, while mobile access lets community clinicians update notes, photographs and care plans remotely. Telehealth readings may be displayed through integration with a separate remote-monitoring platform, including the supplier's Inhealthcare partnership. EMIS itself should not automatically be assumed to provide every monitoring device or alert. Patient observations, thresholds, notifications, escalation, staffing and pathway eligibility depend on the locally connected products and configured clinical model.
