County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust provides integrated acute and community healthcare for around 650,000 people. More than 7,500 staff deliver care from hospitals, community facilities and patients' homes across County Durham, Darlington and surrounding areas.
Its main acute hospitals are University Hospital of North Durham and Darlington Memorial Hospital, supported by community hospitals and local services throughout the area. The trust provides emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, children's, diagnostic and planned care, alongside community nursing, therapies and other support outside hospital. By bringing these services together, it aims to make care safer and more joined-up, tailoring treatment and recovery support to individual needs while working with local residents and partner organisations.
