About Nervecentre
Nervecentre EPMA is the prescribing and medicines-administration component of the supplier's integrated EPR. Prescribers can review relevant history, observations, pathology results, allergies and contraindications while creating medication orders. Pharmacy and clinical workflows provide visibility of prescriptions and required actions, while nurses can use mobile devices at the bedside to view schedules and record doses. Closed-loop workflows can include barcode scanning to confirm the patient and medicine before administration, where the necessary devices and configuration are deployed. Order sets, decision-support alerts and real-time information can assist safer practice. Formularies, interfaces, rules, controlled-drug processes and the achieved level of closed loop operation vary by local implementation.
