About Haemonetics Safetrace Tx

Haemonetics SafeTrace Tx is a specialist transfusion laboratory information management system, not a general-purpose pathology LIMS. It maintains a consolidated history of patient testing and transfusion activity and tracks blood components from receipt through final disposition. Electronic crossmatching, compatibility checks and workflow safeguards are designed to reduce the risk of unsuitable or incorrect products being released. Multi-site functions support centralised testing, inventory visibility and continuity when a patient receives care at different locations. SafeTrace Tx can exchange data with hospital systems, analysers and Haemonetics BloodTrack, supporting a closed-loop transfusion process from laboratory to bedside. Exact interfaces and bedside functionality depend on the trust's configuration.
