Bespoke IPortal

iPortal is University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust's clinical access portal and one of its primary electronic patient record tools. It draws key information together to give clinicians an overview of patient activity, diagnostic results, letters and notes. Clinical teams can enter documentation directly through iPortal on laptops or tablets, making updates available to other professionals involved in the patient's care. The trust has integrated speech recognition with its clinical noting workflow, allowing voice-to-text documentation and navigation within the portal. iPortal also supports specialist functions such as pathology escalation lists, while CareFlow provides the trust's main patient administration capability. Its design is locally developed around UHNM workflows rather than sold as a standard national EPR package.
