Encodian Filer turns Microsoft SharePoint Online into an electronic document and records management system suited to healthcare. It provides a patient- or case-based structure, metadata search, OCR and an embedded viewer for clinical and corporate documents, allowing staff to find information without opening files individually. Documents can be classified and routed automatically, while retention and disposition rules support records governance. Users can annotate, redact, split, merge and sign PDFs within the platform, and a digital briefcase creates controlled document packs for secure sharing. HL7 and FHIR adapters can supply patient demographics and clinic lists, and links can open Filer in the context of another system. Audit reporting records user and administrative actions against sensitive information.
