About Merge PACS
Merge PACS is a picture archiving and communication system for storing, retrieving, viewing and distributing diagnostic images. It uses DICOM services to receive studies from modalities, provide worklists, query an archive and deliver images to authorised workstations. Viewing tools allow clinicians to navigate, compare and manipulate studies, with advanced functions such as multiplanar reconstruction, projection and image fusion available in relevant versions. PACS workflow can connect examinations with radiology information and reporting systems, helping preserve patient and study context. Merge PACS has passed through different corporate ownership and releases, so the precise viewer, archive architecture, integrations and advanced visualisation capabilities must be checked against the installed version.
