Bespoke CHARTS

CHARTS is University Hospital Southampton's locally developed electronic patient record environment. It gives clinicians worklists for current inpatients and scheduled outpatients, access to clinical history and documents dating back to 2005, and tools for creating notes, correspondence, clinic letters and discharge summaries. Tests and investigations are requested electronically, with more than a million requests processed annually, and integrations with laboratory and radiology systems return results and imaging reports for acknowledgement by the requesting clinician. CHARTS also contains bespoke modules for procedures, pregnancy and outpatient review, and incorporates tools such as eDocs, eQuest and UHS Lifelines. It is owned and continually developed by University Hospital Southampton around local clinical needs.
