Xerox mstore is an enterprise document management and workflow platform for capturing, classifying, storing and retrieving digital information. It supports scanned and native file types, metadata extraction, secure search, versioning, retention and auditable business-process workflows. Role-based permissions can control actions at cabinet, document and workflow-step level, while a REST API allows other applications to upload, search, download or link documents. The product can be deployed on a hosted cloud platform or customer-managed Microsoft server environment. In healthcare it can support paper-light record processes, but dependable use requires accurate indexing, integration with patient identity, defined retention policies, access governance, migration planning and quality checks during scanning.
