About Bespoke EPR
Yorkshire Ambulance Service's bespoke electronic patient record performs the patient administration needed for an emergency ambulance episode. The workflow begins when the Emergency Operations Centre receives a 999 call, transferring details such as incident location, patient name and address from computer-aided dispatch into the ePR. Frontline clinicians then add assessment, observation and treatment information, and the completed record can be shared securely with the hospital receiving the patient. Digital signatures can record acceptance or refusal of care and support clinical handover. Although categorised here as a patient administration system, it is an ambulance-specific ePR rather than a hospital PAS for outpatient booking, waiting lists, beds or elective admission management.
