North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust provides mental health, learning disability, substance misuse and primary care services, principally for Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. Its teams support around 464,000 people from approximately 30 hospital, general practice and community sites, with Harplands Hospital serving as the main inpatient base.

Services include crisis and community mental healthcare, adult and older people's inpatient treatment, psychological therapies, child and adolescent mental health, autism and learning disability support, and drug and alcohol treatment. The Trust also runs several GP practices and provides specialist teams that support University Hospitals of North Midlands. Most patients are cared for close to home, with inpatient treatment available when assessment, safety or clinical needs require more intensive support.
