About Doctolib Medicus
Medicus is a newer cloud-based Electronic Patient Record (EPR/EHR) system for NHS GP practices in England, positioned as an alternative to established systems such as EMIS Web and SystmOne. It combines consultations, appointments and triage, prescribing, referrals, document management, QOF/long-term-condition workflows and reporting in one platform. NHS England approved Medicus under its modern GP IT framework in 2025; it integrates with multiple national NHS services and supports GP Connect standards. Its main proposition is reducing reliance on separate add-ons while providing a faster, modern primary-care interface.
